木箱 Album『hometown』

前作『回想未来』から約二年。

自主レーベル[kitorina records]を設立し、初のAlbumリリースとなる本作『hometown』はエレクトロニカ、テクノ要素が配合されたサウンドカラーが進化を遂げ、より有機的な温かさを感じられる作品となっている。

木箱の音世界に潜む特有の「北の空気感」と「温かさ」の心地よい共存と、今作品のキーワードでもある『ここからはじまる』から繰り広げられるストーリーは前作とは対照的な具体化された歌詞表現によってドラマのように 展開されていく。

葛藤を生む「夢」と「現実」の 世界に一筋の光が差し込むような、 聴く人の心に勇気を与えてくれる ような作品。
アルバムのタイトル曲にもなって、 故郷への想いを歌った『hometown』、BreakBeatsを基調とした 実験的サウンドの 「ボクだけの場所」、これから何かに挑戦しようとしてる人に向けた応援 ソング 「stage of light」、エレクトロニカを前面に押し出した「ライン」など、 メッセージ性の 強い歌詞と今までとは一味違う木箱流サウンドメイキングが凝縮された一枚。

枠にとらわれない自由な発想と想像力で生み出されたニューサウンドがここに。
